Egg Resources

Every single day, when I walk around my office eating hard-boiled eggs for breakfast, or when I bust out the hot plate in the breakroom and cook up a fast omelet, I always get asked tons of questions. Usually about how odd it is to pace around the office and eat eggs and they say things like “…who do you think you are…”  but I also get asked questions about eggs. As shown in my Egg FAQ I have a ton of hot knowledge ready to go any time any one ask me about eggs. I’ve spent a lifetime collecting my little egg tips and tricks from farmers, random guys who work the dairy aisle at the grocery store, and books found in the library. These days it is so much easier to find out the important egg information you need. Google or Bing is a great search engine that can help you find tons of amazing resources, but do you trust the results you find? I hope you do, maybe that is how you found me. If you want a few different sources for egg info I will list the best egg resources below. I reference these all of the time, mostly just to stay sharp on my egg knowledge, but also to learn!

The Egg Board

The Egg Board is a United States government-funded organization that promotes eating eggs. Their website, www.incredibleegg.org, is a great resource for anyone who wants to learn more about eggs. Their website provides information like the nutritional value of eggs, recipes, and cooking tips. They are basically like a government-funded Eggsin5.com The Egg Board also works with the food industry to promote eggs on their menus. Sounds like a pretty easy gig considering how many recipes need eggs.

The Egg Board was created by the Egg Products Inspection Act of 1974. The act was passed in response to concerns about the safety of eggs. The Egg Board is responsible for ensuring that eggs are safe for human consumption. The Egg Board also works to spread the word by educating consumers about the nutritional value of eggs. I bet this is mostly done with their website, but I probably need to investigate this in depth later.

I love the amount of resources that the Egg Board provides. The website is easy to use and provides a wealth of information. However, the Egg Board is a government-funded organization. This means that they have a vested interest in promoting eggs. As such, I take their info with a grain of salt, just like my eggs. Check out the sauce I use to dress my egg at the end of the video, Lizano Salsa

The USDA National Nutrient Database for Standard Reference

The USDA National Nutrient Database for Standard Reference (USDA NNDSR - this is what all my friends call it) is a comprehensive database of food composition data. It is maintained by the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) and is available online at https://ndb.nal.usda.gov/ndb/.The USDA NNDSR was first published in 1963 and has been updated regularly since then. The database contains information on the nutrient content of over 8,000 foods. This information is used by researchers, policymakers, and consumers to make informed decisions about their diets.

The USDA NNDSR is a resource for anyone who wants to learn more about the nutritional value of foods. The USDA NNDSR provides information on the nutrient content of eggs. This information can be used to make informed decisions about the inclusion of eggs in one's diet. I already know they will be included in my diet. The USDA NNDSR shows that eggs are a good source of protein, choline, and vitamins A, D, and E. The database is easy to use and provides a wealth of information. However, it is important to be aware of the limitations of the database. The USDA NNDSR is based on data collected from a variety of sources, and the accuracy may vary. Overall, the USDA NNDSR(this just rolls off the tongue) is a valuable resource for anyone who wants to learn more about the nutritional value of foods. However, it is important to be aware of the limitations of the database.

If you're interested in learning more about eggs, I recommend checking out your local library. They have a wealth of information on eggs, and the librarians can help you find specific information.
